Life loves to be taken by the lapel and told: ‘I’m with you kid. The need for change bulldozed a road down the center of my mind.ġ8. I long, as does every human being, to be at home wherever I find myself. How important it is for us to recognize and celebrate our heroes and she-roes! – Maya Angelouġ6. I have found that among its other benefits, giving liberates the soul of the giver.ġ5. It’s one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself, to forgive. Disasters remind us we are world citizens, whether we like it or not. We are obliged to know we are global citizens. You have your humanity, and you must not allow anything to reduce that. During bad circumstances, which is the human inheritance, you must decide not to be reduced. And I live it – I believe life loves the liver of it. Not just to the person or persons for whom I’m praying, but also something wonderful happens to me. I know that when I pray, something wonderful happens. I learned a long time ago the wisest thing I can do is be on my own side, be an advocate for myself and others like me. Try to be a rainbow in someone’s cloud – Maya AngelouĨ. If I have places to be, I run like crazy and try not to get wet all while hoping the roads are drivable. Rainy days – if I am at home and not at work, with no plans or place to be… I like to sit out or walk out in the rain, smelling it and touching it.I’ll share with you how I handle each one. It is in the knowing that not everyone’s bad mood, frustration, or how they are feeling may have absolutely nothing to do with you.Īs for the quote on the three things…. To me being a rainbow in someone’s cloud means bringing a smile and positivity with you as you interact with others. Positive Quote: “Try to be a rainbow in someone’s cloud.” and “I’ve learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way (s)he handles these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights.” – both by Maya Angelou
